Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: C3, a B Corp-certified impact platform and part of Global Ventures, announced it has secured a grant from the Resilient Futures Fund (RFF) to launch a regional accelerator supporting women-focused climate innovation across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

As per a recent press release, the grant will fund the EmpowerHer Climate Program, a six-month online accelerator designed to support more than 30 climate adaptation startups developing solutions that benefit, involve, or are led by women and girls across the region.

Managed by 2X Global, the Resilient Futures Fund is backed by Amazon, Visa Foundation, Reckitt, the Skoll Foundation, and the UPS Foundation.

Participating startups will receive training in climate finance, market strategy, impact measurement, and gender-responsive leadership, alongside mentorship from industry experts. The 10 highest-potential startups will share $150,000 in equity-free grant funding and pitch to investors during a regional Demo Day in Egypt.

Applications are open until 31 August for startups based in, operating in, or planning to expand to MENA with women-centric climate solutions.

Medea Nocentini, Senior Partner at Global Ventures and founder of C3, said the program aims to address the funding gap facing climate ventures tackling challenges affecting women and girls in the region.

Jessica Espinoza, CEO of 2X Global, said the partnership will help strengthen climate entrepreneurship ecosystems and expand access to capital for women-focused climate solutions.
