Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: Nabta Health, a women’s healthcare company founded in 2017, is moving to expand its AI-driven preventive healthcare business after Phoenix Venture Partners (PVP), an Abu Dhabi-based venture capital fund manager, led the second close of its ongoing $3 million Pre-Series A round.

As per a recent press release, the investment will help the company expand its services for employers, insurers, and healthcare providers, while building commercial partnerships and accelerating customer acquisition.

Founded by Sophie Smith, Nabta Health has developed a healthcare platform combining early disease detection, AI-powered care navigation through its Aya service, and digital and in-person clinical care. The company is now shifting its focus from technology development and research to commercialization and growth.

The round has attracted institutional investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. PVP’s contribution includes both primary and secondary capital.

As part of the investment, PVP Founder and CEO Steve Khayat will join Nabta Health’s board as the fund manager’s representative, succeeding Dr. Mussaad Al-Razouki, an early investor and former Executive Chairman.

PVP will work with Nabta Health’s leadership to strengthen strategic partnerships and scale its business across the employer, insurance, and healthcare sectors.
