Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: SSP Group, an international travel food and beverage outlet operator, revealed that it had expanded into Saudi Arabia and Canada, according to the company’s recent press release.
The step falls in line with the company’s pivots to high-growth markets.
The company, which owns the Upper Crust and Ritazza brands, noted that it had bought Calgary-based ECG Ventures Limited (ECG), which sees it take over the leases of three units at Calgary Airport and an additional two at Edmonton Airport.
According to the statement, five new restaurants/bars - The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, Bistro on the Bow, Belgian Beer Café (two units), and The Canadian Brewhouse - complement SSP's existing business at both airports.
The company also signed a new contract with Jeddah Airport to operate three food and beverage packages, representing a total of 26 units, for an initial duration of between five and seven years.
The company did not disclose any financial details regarding the expansion plan.
