Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia unveiled the first public security vehicles on the sidelines of the World Defense Show 2024 which takes place in Riyadh from 4 to 8 February.

The first-ever Saudi-made Lucid EVs, equipped with drone and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, will be used within the fleet of security patrol vehicles in the Kingdom.

The eco-friendly vehicles feature many AI technologies, notably the light bar which contains six cameras used to recognize faces and identify license plates of vehicles violating traffic regulations.

The smart EVs can determine the behavioral character of people by reading their faces, analyzing the data, and sending it to the command-and-control center, which enables it to increase the level of security and geographical scope.

The World Defense Show 2024, organized by the Saudi General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), provides a unique platform for the world’s defense industry to network, partner, share knowledge, and discover new innovations and capabilities across all defense domains.
