Number of private sector employees in Kingdom hit 11 mn

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The total number of employees working in the Saudi private sector reached 11.2 million in March, of whom 2.3 million are citizens and 8.8 million are expatriates, according to recent figures.

A report released by the National Labor Observatory (NLO) showed that over 28,100 Saudis joined the private sector employment market for the first time in March.

The total number of male employees in the private sector hit 9.9 million in March, while the number of female employees exceeded 1.3 million.

It should be noted that the unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia reached its lowest level at 77% during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023.
