Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to officially launch its regional office in Riyadh on the sidelines of the Industrial Policy for Diversification Conference.
In March, the Saudi Cabinet endorsed the initial agreement between the government and the IMF to establish a regional office in Riyadh, which enables the fund to strengthen its relationships and partnerships in the region.
The Industrial Policy for Diversification Conference takes place in the Saudi capital from 24 to 25 April, in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Finance. It discusses means of enhancing industrial policies to foster economic diversification and achieve sustainable prosperity.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia launched the Regional Headquarters Program (RHQ) to attract multinational corporations to establish their RHQ in the Kingdom, as part of its efforts to become a leading commercial, industrial, and investment hub in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
