UAE-based fintech company Fortis plans to expand footprint in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The UAE-based fintech company Fortis plans to expand into Saudi Arabia and other Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries within the upcoming period.

By expanding into the Saudi market, Fortis aims to boost the operational capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhance the technological perception of the Saudi market, Arseny Kosenko, Executive Vice President of Fortis, stated in an interview with Arab News.

Fortis is a point-of-sale (PoS) and customer relationship management (CRM) solution that allows small service and retail businesses to accept and process offline and online PoS payments, manage orders, offer personalized loyalty programs, and effectively run their business.

Kosenko noted that Fortis sets sights on delivering high-quality products and services tailored to the unique needs of Saudi businesses and consumers.

“We will be able to assist small businesses in growing in line with the plans and Vision 2030,” Kosenko said.

The fintech company also plans to cater to domestic users and tourists, particularly during significant events like Expo 2030, by upgrading merchant and customer interactions through advanced omnichannel solutions.

Fortis’ main goal is to empower businesses to thrive in a digital landscape by enhancing customer engagement and operational efficiency through their comprehensive digital tools.

“Saudi Arabia is actively enhancing SME financing through regulatory support and digital transformation initiatives. This aligns perfectly with Fortis’s mission to empower SMEs with digital tools that enhance their operations and market reach,” Kosenko elaborated.

He further said that the company will adapt its pricing policies, marketing strategies, and partnerships to align with local business environments in the Kingdom.

Moreover, Fortis aims to play a pivotal role in boosting digital transformation in Saudi Arabia, supporting the Kingdom’s economic diversification efforts, and increasing the competitiveness of local businesses in global markets.
