Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Nour Shawky, Co-founder and CEO of Softec Technologies Group, spoke to Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of the Seamless Saudi Arabia 2024 Conference, which runs in Riyadh City from 22 to 24 October.
Shawky identified Softec as a tech company and leading Intelligence & Visibility solutions provider for Commercial Fleets, Last-Mile Operations, Logistics, Transportation, and Emergency Command & Control across Europe, MENA, and Southeast Asia.
Softec emerged as one of the most progressive and innovative companies with offices in Amsterdam, Dubai, and Cairo with about 150 employees onboard in the Egypt office.
Softec also has a presence in more than 10 countries covering 5,000+ commercial fleets and connecting 250,000+ vehicles and empowering various sectors including public safety, emergency management, motor insurance, logistics, transportation, postal services, home delivery, and distribution.
A comprehensive, intelligent delivery management system that optimizes the entire delivery process, Softec empowers distribution, E-commerce, and grocery companies as well as restaurants and cloud kitchens with efficient last-mile delivery through dynamic route planning, real-time delivery tracking, efficient order, and resource management, and equips drivers with a user-friendly app, ensuring peak efficiency throughout the process.
Shawky opened up about the most common challenges that exist in this field, stating that there is a shortage of drivers and capacities, while the expectations of clients have gone extremely higher regarding the quality of services, on-time delivery, and agility. This, he thinks, might push logistics providers to improve their visibility and opt for using AI-powered logistics systems in order to achieve growth, keep a proper profit margin, and maintain profitability.
The CEO added that the global logistics sector is currently witnessing a big deal of research and development (R&D) in robotics, cashless solutions, and automated deliveries, a thing that will enhance operations in this particular market.
Running until 24 October, the Seamless Saudi Arabia 2024 conference is expected to welcome around 10,000 visitors and more than 350 expert speakers who will share insights on crucial topics such as fintech innovations, digital payments, e-commerce strategies, and the transformation of retail experiences.
