Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Abdullah Yamani, Business Development Manager at The Golden Compass Mining and Geological Company (GCMGM) told Sharikat Mubasher that the company is 100% Saudi-made, founded in 2014, and became a leading company in the Middle East that provides integrated mining services within this particular sector.
On the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2025, taking place in Riyadh from 14 to 16 January, Yamani added that GCMGM offers 4 main services: exploration drilling, diamond drilling, reverse drilling, and sonic drilling. In addition, the company provides mines and quarries operating services as well as geological and mining consultation. Moreover, the company established a subdivision in partnership with Canadian SGS, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection, and Certification company.
The official stated GCMGM’s services cover the entire Saudi mining sector and extend to the Middle East and North Africa region and plans to establish geochemical laboratories to expand its advanced mining services in the first quarter of 2025 through a joint venture with SGS. Yamani further revealed that this lab will be inaugurated in Jeddah by next March.
GCMGM also started expanding its mineral exploration operations into neighboring states, in Jordan and Libya for instance.
Keeping up with the latest techs, Yamani asserted that GCMGM leverages AI tools in its operations to optimize drilling processes and avoid potential breakdowns.
About its participation in the event, Yamani said that the company is keen on reflecting the powerful image of the Saudi mining sector, showcasing the wide range of its services and capabilities as being a mining company with an entire Saudi DNA.
