Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: London-based automotive software provider Pinewood agreed to acquire the remaining 91% stake in Emirati AI SaaS platform Seez for £33.3 million, further expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities.
According to a recent press release, this acquisition comes as Pinewood accelerates its push into AI-driven automation. The Seez acquisition will enhance Pinewood’s technology portfolio with AI-powered tools for vehicle appraisal, inventory management, digital marketing, and chatbot services.
Pinewood, which initially invested in Seez in September 2024, said the full acquisition aligns with its strategy to expand in the UK and North American markets.
Bill Berman, Pinewood CEO said: “Seez is an outstanding company that has developed highly sophisticated AI and machine learning products that are increasingly critical tools for the automotive retail market. They are highly complementary to our own Automotive Intelligence Platform.”
The deal includes a £22.8 million cash payment, along with £3.9 million in cash cancellation and £6.6 million in Seez consideration shares.
Founded in Dubai in 2016, Seez has raised over $20 million to develop AI-driven software for the automotive industry.
Tarek Kabrit, Seez co-founder and CEO added: “By combining our advanced AI-driven solutions with Pinewood’s proprietary data and deep dealer integrations, we are creating a next-generation platform that will empower dealerships with smarter, more efficient tools.”
