
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Chinese shipping giant COSCO Shipping Lines established a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia and opened a new office in Dammam as part of its strategy to expand in the Middle East
Through COSCO Shipping Lines Saudi Arabia, the group aims to deepen its global footprint and commitment to the Saudi market, according to a recent statement.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Zhang Yong, Vice President of COSCO Shipping Group, Abdullah Munif, Vice President of the Saudi Ports Authority, Tian Dong, Chairman of COSCO Shipping West Asia, and WEI CEN, General Manager of COSCO Shipping Lines Saudi Arabia.
COSCO Shipping Lines Saudi Arabia will leverage terminal assets at Jeddah port to support the upcoming rail terminal project in Jubail Industrial City.
The new subsidiary will also provide services to COSCO Shipping’s diverse fleet, integrating global logistics resources to offer full-chain solutions covering ocean freight, customs clearance, inland transport, and warehousing.
COSCO Shipping Lines currently operates a fleet of 426 vessels and 402 shipping routes, servicing 638 ports in 146 countries and regions.
