Bupa Arabia successfully wrapped up season two of 'Bupa Padel' in Riyadh, with plans to organize the tournament in new regions and cities

Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Bupa Arabia concluded the second season of its flagship “Bupa Padel” tournament in Riyadh with strong competition and growing female participation, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote community health and empower women in sports.

Held at the “Padel In” courts from May 15 to 17, the tournament was organized under the umbrella of Bupa Arabia’s “Live Right” program and supervised by the Saudi Padel Committee. Vice Chairwoman Nora Al Sarhan attended the event, which welcomed 64 male and 16 female teams from across the Kingdom's public and private sectors.

Amin Shaibi, General Manager of Segment & Trade Marketing at Bupa Arabia, said the tournament reflects the company’s commitment to creating an active, balanced society and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 goals related to public health and women’s empowerment.

“This year witnessed remarkable female engagement and fierce competition. We saw high skill levels and sportsmanship that highlight the rapid growth of women’s sports in Saudi Arabia,” Shaibi said.

He noted that key challenges included scheduling matches around participants’ work commitments and raising awareness of the event. However, through corporate partnerships and a supportive atmosphere, Bupa succeeded in fostering strong female turnout and plans to expand awareness through future campaigns and motivational workshops.

The tournament welcomed players of all experience levels, promoting inclusivity and diversity. The men's division was won by the team from the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, while Diriyah Company clinched the women’s title. Both finals reflected strategic discipline and team cohesion, according to organizers.

Top three teams in both categories were awarded symbolic prizes in a celebratory ceremony aimed at boosting pride and team spirit. Shaibi also revealed plans for a future "Super Cup" featuring the winning teams from tournaments in three Saudi cities, as a way to elevate competitive energy and community engagement.

Bupa Arabia emphasized that the “Live Right” program goes beyond sporting events, incorporating awareness campaigns, workshops, and long-term wellness initiatives for all age groups.

“We aim to organize future Padel tournaments in new regions and cities, while also launching broader initiatives that integrate wellness into corporate and community culture,” Shaibi added.
