
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Yasmina, a Saudi-based embedded insurance platform, raised $2 million in Seed funding to scale its operations and expand into new markets.
The round was led by Scene Holding and co-led by Access Bridge Ventures, with participation from Arzan VC and early backing from Sanabil Investment Accelerator by 500 MENA, as per the company’s press release.
Founded in 2023 by Masoud Alhelou and Bashar Abalkhail, Yasmina enables digital platforms to offer personalized insurance products at checkout via seamless API integration. The platform currently supports a range of insurance types, including SME Medical, Motor, Life, and General Insurance.
The startup has already secured regulatory approvals and formed partnerships across sectors like HR, travel, auto, real estate, and POS platforms—reaching over 1.5 million potential users. With the fresh capital, Yasmina plans to expand into the UAE this year and Egypt in 2026, while growing its team and partner network across the region.
