Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: NEOM announced signing a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with WuXi AppTec, a global leader in pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing services, to advance Saudi Arabia’s biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

As per an official press release, the agreement establishes a framework for collaboration to localize pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing within the Kingdom. The partnership envisions the creation of world-class CRDMO facilities at Oxagon, NEOM’s clean and advanced manufacturing hub, or other sites across the Kingdom.

Aligned with Vision 2030 and the National Biotech Strategy, the collaboration reflects NEOM’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting the nation’s economic diversification goals.

By combining NEOM’s advanced infrastructure with WuXi AppTec’s global expertise, the partnership aims to build a thriving biotech ecosystem serving both regional and international markets.
