
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) organized the inaugural Entrepreneurship Forum in Environment, Water, and Agriculture (EWAx) on 3 and 4 December to empower entrepreneurship in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors locally and globally.
During the forum, MEWA launched multiple investment initiatives, such as the EWAxClub initiative, and signed strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs)to support entrepreneurship and empower startups through Sedrah, Sahabah, and Sunbolah programs, the ministry announced in a recent statement.
The ministry finalized two MoUs with Samnan Ventures and GP Holding to foster collaboration in developing and advancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the sector by implementing innovative initiatives and programs. These agreements are expected to maximize the economic impact and create an attractive investment environment in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors.
Under the theme ‘Ecosystem of Opportunities,’ EWAx featured participation from over 500 international guests, 300 startups, 100 investment funds, and 50 private sector companies. It highlighted the ministry’s role in achieving sustainability goals, supporting entrepreneurship, and adopting and localizing sustainable solutions.
