Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the establishment of the Women in Industry Non-Profit Association, coinciding with the International Day of Women in Industry.
The association aims to solidify women’s presence in the industrial sector by developing their capabilities, empowering female leadership talent, and enhancing coordination with decision-makers to address challenges facing women in the sector, the ministry revealed in a statement yesterday.
This milestone underscores the ministry’s efforts to empower non-profit organizations in the industry and mining sectors, recognizing their pivotal role in supporting the Kingdom’s economic and social development.
The association’s objectives include raising awareness of opportunities for women in industry and conducting studies and research to help create a diverse, inclusive environment that develops women’s potential and strengthens their participation.
Moreover, the association will form partnerships with local and global academic institutions to foster female talent, align university outcomes with labor market needs, and enhance the presence of Saudi women at local and international industrial events.
