Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-based smart self-service store startup, KartNGo, announced it is ceasing operations in Saudi Arabia after more than seven years in business.
Through its official accounts, the startup revealed that 'circumstances and challenges beyond its control' were behind the shutdown decision, affirming that it will complete all relevant regulatory procedures over the upcoming period.
KartNGo was founded in 2019 to redefine catering with a smart approach combining technology, comfort, and variety. Its ‘KartNGo Eats’ offering helped businesses provide a refreshing dining experience within the workplace, featuring a wide variety of meals from international restaurants that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences.
According to data previously published by the company, KartNGo managed to build a network of more than 100 self-service branches within the premises of various companies and entities, while continuing to develop its own payment and operating systems. It also worked on providing AI-powered solutions for store monitoring and sales management, focusing on a model that reduces operational costs and enables store operation without staff on site.
