Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi telecom operator Mobily announced it has partnered with BytePlus, the international IT services company, to launch BytePlus' first public cloud region in the Middle East and Africa. The joint venture, unveiled at the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh, represents an investment of between $120 million and $150 million.

The partnership will combine Mobily's data center network and digital infrastructure with BytePlus' cloud, artificial intelligence, and data analytics technology to build a locally hosted cloud platform based in Saudi Arabia.

The companies say the new region will provide secure, scalable local hosting for data, applications, and AI workloads within the Kingdom and the wider region, serving enterprises, government entities, startups, and developers with in-country cloud capabilities.

The fifth edition of LEAP 2026 runs from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.

The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for technology and innovation.
