Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Tarabut, a regulated financial infrastructure platform operating across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain, announced it has secured $50 million (SAR 187 million) in strategic financing from leading Saudi financial institutions and family business groups.
Announced on the sidelines of the Money20/20 Middle East conference, the financing includes participation from Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest, GIB Saudi Arabia, Zamil Group, and Kanoo Ventures, part of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, alongside other regional institutions.
Tarabut has processed more than 5 billion API calls across the region, connecting banks, distributors, and consumers through a single regulated platform. The new funding will support the company’s expansion in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on embedded finance and improving access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The platform enables financial institutions to use real-time financial data and cash-flow information alongside traditional documentation to support faster credit decisions and financing.
Tarabut said the financing will help develop end-to-end embedded finance solutions covering verification, decision-making, and financing under partner institutions’ brands.
The transaction remains subject to relevant regulatory approvals, including approval from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
Money20/20 Middle East, the region's leading fintech event, runs from 14 to 16 September in Riyadh, bringing together over 600 investors, more than 350 brands, over 350 speakers, and more than 150 startups.
Throughout three days, the event will connect global financial leaders with the companies, institutions, and policymakers shaping the next phase of financial services in Saudi Arabia and across the region.
