Saudi educational technology startup Arep secured a pre-seed funding to fuel product development and expand its local business

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Academic Research and Educational Platform (Arep), a Saudi educational technology and research enablement startup, successfully closed its pre-seed investment round, led by Golden Assets Investment.

Arep will use the new capital to develop products, expand its local business, and lay the groundwork for regional expansion, the edtech startup revealed in a statement yesterday.

The partnership between Arep and Golden Assets Investment aims to cultivate skilled talent to support Saudi Arabia’s research, development, and innovation ecosystem.

Arep was founded in 2023 by Hussain Alhamami, Ibrahim Asiri, Rayan Ahmed, and Alhanouf Alhmammi to fill the laboratory skills gap and qualify specialized talent to support the Kingdom’s research and development tracks through two main tracks: Arep Academy and Arep Marketplace.

Arep Academy offers training in laboratory sciences and research, combining interactive digital simulations, knowledge banks, and hands-on workshops within academic laboratories.

The Arep Marketplace is a digital platform for laboratory and research supply chains that addresses logistical challenges faced by educational and research institutions.
