Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Sakhi, a leading Saudi provider of Sharia-compliant financial solutions, partnered with Lean Technologies to embed Lean Insights into its lending journey, thereby strengthening its underwriting process and supporting its ambition to expand access to credit in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership will help Sakhi reach customers whose earnings are difficult to establish through traditional data sources, including freelancers and other non-traditional earners, according to the official statement released yesterday.
Through Lean Insights, customers can securely connect their bank accounts and share financial data with their consent, giving Sakhi a clearer understanding of their income and financial standing.
Commenting on the partnership, Yousef Almusaileem, CEO at Sakhi, said: “Lean Insights gives us a clearer understanding of customers’ income and financial circumstances, helping us make more informed lending decisions and offer eligible applicants a second assessment as we work to expand access to credit.”
In turn, Mehdi Tazi, COO at Lean Technologies, stated: “Through our partnership with Sakhi, we’re helping create a path to credit for more eligible borrowers, including those with income from multiple or non-traditional sources, while maintaining the rigorous underwriting standards that responsible lending demands.”
Lean Insights will support Sakhi’s Second Look lending journey, giving eligible applicants who do not initially meet income-related policies a second chance. With a more complete view of their financial standing, Sakhi can reassess these applications before making a final decision, subject to its lending criteria.
