Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has celebrated the graduation of 20 startups from WE Innovate Star, a program supporting businesses developing cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, during the 30th Cairo ICT exhibition.
As per the Ministry’s press release, the ceremony was attended by Raafat Hendi, the MCIT Minister, and was organized by Telecom Egypt, in cooperation with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
The event saw five top-performing startups receive awards and support worth a combined EGP 2.5 million, while eight other companies were recognized for excellence and innovation.
Launched by Telecom Egypt in partnership with NTRA’s National Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EG-CERT), the program selected 20 startups from 83 applicants. Participants received more than 800 hours of technical, business, and mentorship support, alongside services and technical assistance worth EGP 5 million.
The program helped 16 startups complete product development, while nine newly registered companies emerged from the initiative. Participating businesses also secured B2B contracts, generated revenue, and attracted investment interest.
Telecom Egypt announced that a new edition of WE Innovate Star will launch in November 2027.
