
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The total amount of household wealth in Saudi Arabia is estimated at $2.3 trillion, with average wealth per adult worth $90,975 at the end of 2022, the latest Global Wealth Report stated, marking Saudi Arabia among the highest household wealth in the world
"Our estimates of financial and non-financial wealth are derived from the relationship observed in other countries between household wealth and variables such as household consumption, share prices and house prices," the report clarified.
Trade Arabia pointed out that Saudi financial assets made up 59.5% of gross assets at the end of 2021, as described in the report; meanwhile, it fell to 56.7% in 2022.
The report further showed that the net worth per adult increased by 8.4% in USD terms in 2021 using current exchange rates, and kept rising by 6.6% in 2022. Moreover, the ratio of household debt to gross assets was 5.5% in 2022.
Along with Saudi Arabia, the report explored household wealth and figures in UAE, Kuwait and Qatar within the recent past years.
The Global Wealth Report is issued jointly by Credit Suisse and UBS, and considered one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date resources as it provides analyses of the household wealth of 5.3 billion people across the world.
