Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Huawei announced it has signed a strategic partnership with GAPP to expand cloud and artificial intelligence services across Saudi Arabia, supporting the kingdom’s accelerating digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030.
Under the agreement, GAPP will serve as Huawei Cloud’s official cloud solutions distributor in Saudi Arabia, enabling local enterprises and secondary distributors to access Huawei’s cloud infrastructure, AI tools, and disaster recovery services through a locally compliant operating framework, according to the company’s press release.
Commenting on this, Hugo Hu, CEO of Huawei Cloud Saudi Arabia, said the collaboration would help GAPP and local resellers tap into growing opportunities in cloud and AI while building long-term enterprise and government partnerships.
GAPP, which has operated in the Saudi market for more than a decade across sectors including banking, telecommunications, utilities, and industrials, said the partnership would support businesses seeking scalable and secure cloud solutions.
For his part, Ahmed Alazmah, COO of GAPP, said the company aims to deliver compliant and easily scalable AI and cloud technologies to Saudi businesses through the partnership.
The agreement will also support the rollout of Huawei Cloud’s AI offerings in the kingdom, including its Model-as-a-Service platform, which provides access to open-source AI models designed for enterprise applications and Arabic-language use cases.
