Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Akam Recycling Company for Environmental Services (Akam), the Saudi leading construction and demolition recycling company, revealed processing around 180 tons of waste per hour (TPH), as it receives around 2,500 to 3,000 trucks, according to the company's press release.

Akam, the investment arm of Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), processed around 16.1 million tons of waste in 2022, highlighting its leading role in construction and demolition waste management.

Established in 2020, Akam is committed to reshape the landscape of environmental services and expand waste treatment activities. It operates across three sites and manages a fleet of 3,600 trucks per day.

Akam, headquartered in Riyadh, uses cutting-edge technologies and the best global practices to process waste efficiently and effectively, and increase its potential to recycle waste.

Furthermore, the company eyes activating the Circular Economy initiative through pumping the recycled materials into the local market, and encourage using them in the new industries and projects.

It is worth mentioning that Akam's revenues in 2022 soared to SAR 39 million from SAR 2.7 million in 2021.
