Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The upcoming Riyadh Expo 2030 is projected to add a gross value of SAR 355 billion to the Saudi national economy, with an annual impact of 0.75% over the next 25 years, a recent report stated.
The report released by Al Rajhi Capital noted that the projected impact represents a 19% addition to the estimated non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) for 2023.
The expo is forecasted to attract 246 participants and 40 million physical site visits.
Riyadh Expo 2030 is scheduled to take place from October 2030 until March 2031 to explore how innovations in science and technology could transform the world, creating resilience and responsibly serving humanity.
Under the theme “The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow,” the expo aims at reinforcing the aspirations and objectives of the sustainable development goals, with the potential to engage the general public in their next evolution.
The Riyadh Expo 2030 will feature three sub-topics: “A Different Tomorrow”, “Climate Action”, and “Prosperity for All”.
The expo site will span an area of six million square meters, embodying both the “oasis” and “garden” origin of Riyadh and the vision of the country to pioneer a sustainable future for cities and their communities.
It will offer 3.3 million square meters of experiential space within the gated area, about 432,000 square meters for national pavilions, and 2.62 million square meters for supporting amenities and facilities.
