
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi sports startup Pala De 7 (Pd7) secured SAR 3.75 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Grintafy with participation from AlTahan Investments and Shaghaf Investment, the startup announced in a statement.
Pd7 will allocate this funding to expand in the Kingdom, introducing leading-edge technology to streamline pre-booking, gameplay, and post-booking experiences.
Pd7 aspires to serve the padel community with a customer-oriented platform, offering seamless field registration, easy booking, and an enhanced user experience while leveraging AI technology for game matching.
Tarek Ashoor, Founder and CEO of Pd7, said that Pd7 is poised to revolutionize the padel experience.
He stated: “I am excited that my vision is being shared with companies that are passionate about padel.”
Leading the funding round reflects Grintafy’s dedication to bolstering the sports industry, in alignment with Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Sport’s vision. It aims to provide diverse sports products beyond football and elevate the sports tech ecosystem in the region.
Pd7 platform will leverage the advanced technology of Grintafy.
Majdi Allulu, the CEO of Grintafy, commented: “The recent surge in padel's popularity, especially in Saudi Arabia, piqued our interest. We are recreating the success story of Grintafy in other sports. This has been our vision from the beginning.”
Meanwhile, AlTahan Investments affirmed that participating in the round is a testament to its trust in the vision and potential of Pd7.
It should be noted that Pd7 is scheduled to launch in early 2024 and will be available to download on both iOS and Android platforms.
