
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture launched the Sunbolah program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to foster entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, a recent statement revealed.
The program was launched by Environment Minister Abdulrahman AlFadley and Communication Minister Abdullah Alswaha in a ceremony attended by several senior officials and entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector.
Sunbolah program aims to build a specialized entrepreneurial community in the agricultural sector, help emerging environmental companies grow, and attract venture capital to the agricultural sector.
During the ceremony, the Environment Ministry signed three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Agricultural Development Fund, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), and The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah).
The agreements aim to support and scale the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the agricultural sector, enlarge the economic impact, and create an attractive investment environment. Additionally, the agreements target launching specialized accelerators and business incubators to advance the sector.
Moreover, the Agricultural Development Fund launched a new product to provide funding for emerging companies during the ceremony.
