Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: UAE telecom operator du announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Open Innovation AI to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI across government entities and enterprises in the UAE.
As per a recent press release, the agreement aims to strengthen the country’s sovereign AI ecosystem through du Tech’s National Hypercloud platform.
Under the partnership, the two companies will combine du Tech’s cloud infrastructure with Open Innovation AI’s AI orchestration and GPU management capabilities to enable organizations to deploy and scale AI agents and autonomous AI workloads while keeping data and infrastructure within the UAE.
The collaboration will explore the development of sovereign AI platforms, GPU orchestration services, and joint go-to-market initiatives, supporting the growing demand for secure and locally governed AI solutions.
Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, said the initiative represents a significant step toward building secure, in-country AI infrastructure that supports national security and digital sovereignty goals. The agreement also expands du’s AI partner ecosystem and reinforces its role as a provider of sovereign digital infrastructure in the UAE.
