
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba plans to partner with local companies in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, according to the company’s President Michael Evans.
In a panel session during Dubai’s World Government Summit, Evans stated that the company’s plans align with China’s efforts to deepen its ties with the Gulf region.
“We’ve just finished doing something very interesting in Saudi,” the president revealed.
Alibaba is a Chinese multinational technology company specializing in e-commerce, retail, Internet, and technology. It provides consumer-to-consumer (C2C), business-to-consumer (B2C), and business-to-business (B2B) sales services via Chinese and global marketplaces, as well as local consumer, digital media and entertainment, logistics, and cloud computing services.
