Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: JINGDONG Logistics, a leading technology-driven supply chain and logistics services provider in China, officially launched its self-operated B2C express delivery service, JoyExpress, in Saudi Arabia.

JoyExpress will cover most regions in the Kingdom and provide customers with high-quality doorstep delivery options, including cash-on-delivery, and delivery as fast as same-day or next-day, the company revealed in a statement today.

This self-operated model is expected to deliver reliable last-mile services while creating several local jobs and contributing to the development of the Saudi logistics sector. Additionally, JoyExpress will offer a suite of value-added services, including address changes, temporary return storage, scheduled deliveries, reverse pickups, and insurance coverage.

Commenting on this milestone, Rayan Albakri, Deputy Minister for Logistics Services at the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, said: “We welcome the company’s advanced self-operated express delivery services, which we believe will not only elevate service standards in the Kingdom but also create new opportunities for employment, innovation, and industry development in support of Vision 2030.”

He noted that JINGDONG Logistics’ investment in Saudi Arabia aligns with the Kingdom’s national vision to become a global logistics hub.

Meanwhile, Charlie Peng, Head of Middle East at JINGDONG Logistics, said: “The launch of JoyExpress marks a key milestone in JD.com’s international journey and business development in Saudi Arabia. JINGDONG Logistics will provide leading-edge services to our customers in KSA.”

By launching JoyExpress in Saudi Arabia, JINGDONG Logistics has established a fully self-operated logistics chain in the Middle East, encompassing warehousing, transport, and last-mile delivery.
