Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) launched the Saudi Summer program for 2024 to boost tourism with a lineup of major events taking place across seven destinations in the Kingdom.

In a statement, the authority revealed that the program will run until the end of September and will include over 550 tourism products and more than 150 special offers and packages tailored to suit various segments, including adventure lovers, those seeking luxury retreats, and culture and heritage enthusiasts.

With the slogan “Saudi Summer is Next Doors,” the summer program will take place in Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, Jeddah, Riyadh, AlUla, and the new Red Sea destination.

The launching ceremony was attended by the Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) Zurab Pololikashvili, and more than 250 strategic partners from the public and private sectors.

In his speech, Al Khateeb invited local and international tourists to experience the diversity of the seven destinations and benefit from the exceptional offers and packages designed to create unforgettable memories.

“This initiative, supported by our strategic partnerships and groundbreaking efforts like the eVisa and increased flight connectivity, demonstrates our dedication to making Saudi Arabia more accessible and appealing to tourists worldwide,” Al Khateeb added.

Meanwhile, Pololikashvili said, “All of these great achievements for Saudi tourism would not have been possible without proper planning by those in charge of the sector in the Kingdom and the great potential it possesses in terms of diverse climates, stunning natural landmarks, and the generosity of Saudi people.”

Moreover, Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of STA, stated that the program will include attractive offers from hotels, airlines offering free tickets for children in partnership with major travel, tourism, and aviation companies, and exceptional products in the Aseer Season and Jeddah Season.
