Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s leading software as a service (SaaS) e-commerce enablement platform Salla forged a strategic partnership with Checkout.com, the global payments provider, to expand the payment scope of Salla’s stores to include Saudi Arabia and other countries across the world.

By integrating with Salla, Checkout.com will enable more than 65,000 Saudi brands to expand their operations in the regions it covers across the world while providing a full suite of payment solutions and options commonly used in the Kingdom, a recent statement revealed.

The partnership represents a significant move towards enhancing the global positioning of Saudi brands and stores on the Salla platform to maximize their sales, ultimately promoting the Kingdom’s digital economy.

Suhail Jabir, Vice President of Revenues at Salla, stated that the partnership with Checkout.com reflects the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge payment solutions that cater to the merchants’ needs.

He clarified that Checkout.com’s innovative payment solutions will enable Salla’s merchants to provide trusted digital payment solutions to their customers beyond Saudi Arabia.

Jabir further noted that the partnership will open new horizons for Salla’s merchants, helping them develop innovative products that cater to global markets.

On his part, Abdullah Alassaf, General Manager for Saudi Arabia at Checkout.com, said that the partnership underscored the company’s dedication to providing top-notch services to its merchants in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Established in 2016, Salla aims to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Saudi Arabia by providing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and aspiring entrepreneurs with a proprietary SaaS solution to deliver on their e-commerce ambitions. Since 2020, it has enabled $7 billion in e-commerce sales and currently serves over 80,000 active merchants on the platform.
