Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) spent over SAR 630 billion worth of investments within sectors of logistics, industry, mining, and energy since being established.
On the sidelines of the NIDLP Annual Ceremony 2024, Suliman Almazroua, CEO of NIDLP told Asharq Business that the program aims to further break this record to achieve SAR 700 billion during the next year.
Almazroua asserted that these significant results are the outcome of over 300 successful initiatives and programs NIDLP launched since its inception, wishing for the Program to continue breaking records, in the light of Saudi Vision 2030.
On the other hand, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, who also chairs the NIDLP Program Committee, shared further program highlights during the event.
He noted that the sectors targeted by the initiative contributed SR433 billion ($115.3 billion) to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product by the third quarter of 2024, reflecting a 2.4 percent growth compared to the previous year.
Exports from these sectors also saw a significant increase, rising by 11.1 percent from the third quarter of 2023 to the same period in 2024.
Alkhorayef also highlighted the program’s impact on employment, revealing that total employment across its sectors reached 2.1 million by the third quarter of 2024. Of these, 660,000 were Saudi nationals, with women accounting for approximately 200,000 of the workforce.
