Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Thirteen startups showcased their ventures as part of the “Bidrah” initiative, organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in partnership with Wadi Jeddah Company.

According to a press release issued by the university, the event took place at the university’s main campus.

During the gathering, Tareef Al-Aama, King Abdulaziz University President, and Mohammed Al-Amoudi, Vice President for Business and Knowledge Creativity, met with the founders to review their initiatives and future plans. The discussions underscored the university’s developmental role in supporting investment and empowering young Saudi talents to drive the knowledge economy.

The “Bidrah” initiative aims to offer startups a comprehensive support system—including specialized consulting, funding opportunities, and access to relevant stakeholders and investors—to boost their chances of long-term success.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center is a key pillar of the university’s strategy to foster a knowledge-based economy, offering training programs, workshops, mentorship, funding access, and connections to both local and international networks.
