
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce issued over 80,000 commercial registers during the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, with female-owned organizations securing 49% of the total number.
The quarterly report released by the ministry revealed that Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province accounted for 71% of the total registers issued in Q1-25; Riyadh captured 28,181 registers, followed by Makkah with 14,498 registers and the Eastern Province with 12,985 registers.
The report further highlighted that the total number of existing commercial registers in the Kingdom rose by 2% in Q2-25 to exceed 1.7 million, compared to 1.68 million in Q1-25.
Female-owned organizations accounted for 47% of the total existing commercial registers in Q2-25, while male-owned organizations represented 38% of the total number.
Additionally, the number of commercial registers granted to Gulf and foreign investors reached 70,128 in Q2-25, marking a 38% quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q) increase.
These figures reflect Saudi Arabia’s efforts to foster a dynamic and investor-friendly business environment and reinforce its position as an attractive destination for local and foreign investors.
