Abu Dhabi - Sharikat Mubasher: Ignyte, a global digital startup platform launched by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), announced its strategic collaboration with Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, to accelerate blockchain innovation across the MENA region.

Under this partnership, both parties will work together to establish a dedicated blockchain and crypto innovation platform, designed to fast-track adoption, empower entrepreneurs, and deliver transformative, real-world impact, the DIFC revealed in a press release yesterday.

This partnership will launch with a highly competitive hackathon gathering top-tier developers, entrepreneurs, and industry disruptors from across MENA and further afield. Shortlisted teams will pitch to a panel of investors, corporate leaders, and policymakers during a high-profile demo day, opening doors to funding, mentorship, and market entry opportunities regionally and globally.

Additionally, Ignyte and Binance will build a world-class blockchain ecosystem by rolling out year-round support for blockchain startups, providing access to advanced developer tools and blockchain infrastructure, specialized training programs and technical workshops, and mentorship from Binance’s global network of experts and investors.

Startups will also gain market access through DIFC’s Innovation Hub and international partner networks.

Commenting on this milestone, Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, said: “By joining forces with Binance, Ignyte will collectively deliver unprecedented access to global expertise, resources, and networks. This partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing breakthrough technologies that will shape the future of finance and strengthen Dubai’s role as a global leader in innovation.”

Meanwhile, Richard Teng, Chief Executive Officer of Binance, affirmed that the partnership reflects the shared commitment of both entities to fostering the next wave of blockchain innovation.

Moreover, the partnership aims to set new benchmarks for blockchain innovation regionally and globally, building on DIFC and Ignyte’s expertise with scaling startups, growth-stage firms, and global unicorns.
