Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Akdital, Morocco’s largest private healthcare group, is set to launch six hospitals in Saudi Arabia within the next two years, with investments totaling SAR 5.3 billion (over USD 1.4 billion), according to Zakaria Jawad, the group’s Vice President, in an interview with Asharq.

The expansion marks Akdital’s first major move outside Morocco, where it currently operates 42 hospitals and plans to grow its domestic network to 62 by 2027.

In Saudi Arabia, the group aims to establish facilities in Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah, and Madinah, with a combined capacity exceeding 1,000 beds. The first hospital is expected to begin operations within months.

Akdital, listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, began its Saudi entry earlier this year by signing two agreements worth USD 200 million with National Business Group and Namaya, a subsidiary of Al Fozan Holding, under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Investment.

The partnerships involve developing private hospitals in Riyadh and Jeddah, with operations targeted to start by 2027.
