Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), in partnership with the Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDI), announced the launch of a new program designed to accelerate the commercialization of local research and support the creation of deep-tech startups.
As per a recent press release, the six-month initiative aims to help researchers and innovators move their ideas from the lab to the market through a structured process of training, mentoring, and continuous iteration.
Participants will learn how to evaluate the commercial potential of their research, apply business-model and customer-discovery frameworks, and gain hands-on experience in testing and validating their concepts.
The program will also connect participants with industry experts, mentors, and investors, giving them essential exposure to real-world market needs and strengthening their ability to pitch to potential partners.
KACST and RDI said the effort is part of a broader push to expand Saudi Arabia’s innovation pipeline and increase the number of commercially viable technologies emerging from the Kingdom’s research ecosystem.
