
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The point-of-sale (PoS) sales in Saudi Arabia registered SAR 59 billion in November via 998 million transactions, marking a slight decline from SAR 59.8 billion in October.
According to recent figures by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), the total number of PoS terminals in the Kingdom reached 2.3 million in November. The PoS sales in the food and beverages (F&B) sector recorded SAR 8.9 billion in November, made through 226 million transactions.
The restaurants and cafés sector achieved PoS sales worth SAR 7.1 billion in November, made through more than 244 million transactions.
Moreover, the total number of e-commerce transactions made via Mada cards dropped to 166 million in November from over 170 million transactions in October, achieving sales worth SAR 29 billion.
