
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: CrowdStrike signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi Aramco, marking the first step toward long-term collaboration on cybersecurity and AI across the Kingdom. The partnership aims to strengthen protection for critical infrastructure, accelerate secure AI adoption, and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 digital ambitions, according to a recent press release.
George Kurtz, CrowdStrike CEO and founder, said the collaboration would bring the company’s cybersecurity expertise to the Kingdom, securing its growing digital economy. Meanwhile, Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter, Aramco Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation, added that the partnership reflects a commitment to adopting world-class technologies to drive AI-powered economic growth.
The agreement outlines plans to explore building and operating national-scale cybersecurity systems, establishing CrowdStrike’s regional headquarters, deploying in-country cloud capabilities, and implementing the Falcon® platform as a foundation for unified AI-driven protection. Joint innovation, cyber threat intelligence sharing, and workforce development initiatives are also part of the collaboration.
For his part, Abdul Aziz S. Al Shafi, Aramco Vice President of Cybersecurity, emphasized that the partnership sets a new standard for cybersecurity excellence in the region, fostering innovation, growth, and a future generation of cybersecurity leaders.
