Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: Cairo-based Farid Academy announced it has become the first educational technology startup in Egypt to receive the official “Startup Label” under the country’s National Startup Charter, marking a milestone for the local EdTech ecosystem.
As per a recent press release, the certification was awarded by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) after the company passed a vetting process designed to ensure compliance with Egypt’s unified national definition of startups. The designation provides the company with regulatory facilitation measures, streamlined access to digital government services, and incentives intended to accelerate the growth of high-potential ventures.
Beyond Egypt, the startup has begun expanding regionally, opening a regional office in Riyadh to support its operations in Saudi Arabia and localize educational and psychological content for Gulf markets.
Farid Academy delivers its services through multiple channels, including direct digital coaching for families, partnerships with private schools, collaborations with government initiatives focused on youth development, and programs with non-profit organizations.
The company ultimately aims to reach 10 million children across the Arab world and train 10,000 certified coaches in its proprietary character development methodology by 2030.
