Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi restaurant technology platform Foodics announced it has completed the full acquisition of Greece-based AI and data intelligence company Norma AI, strengthening its dedicated artificial intelligence division and expanding its analytics capabilities for the hospitality sector.
As part of the transaction, Norma’s team has joined Foodics’ AI division, where they will contribute to the development of next-generation agentic AI solutions for restaurant operations, according to a recent press release.
The acquisition builds on Foodics’ initial investment in Norma in early 2025. Following that investment, Norma’s technology was integrated into the Foodics platform and has since been adopted across more than 10,000 customer branches.
Commenting on the acquisition, Ahmad AlZaini, Foodics Co-founder and CEO, said the deal will accelerate the company’s AI roadmap and strengthen its ability to help restaurant operators make faster and more informed decisions. He added that the integration is expected to improve operational efficiency and profitability for customers.
Meanwhile, George Henein, Norma Co-founder, said joining Foodics provides the scale and resources needed to accelerate the adoption of the company's AI and analytics technology, adding that the combination of Foodics’ market presence and Norma’s technical expertise creates a strong foundation for the next generation of hospitality technology.
