Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) issued a report highlighting the growing importance of prototyping in product development, innovation and transforming ideas into market-ready solutions.
The report said the global product prototyping market was valued at SAR 86.66 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach SAR 165.7 billion by 2031, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.41% between 2026 and 2031. Growth is being driven by changing product development models, industrial innovation, and greater adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies.
At the local level, the Saudi 3D printing market reached SAR 1.20 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach SAR 6.47 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 20.52%. Key applications span aviation, automotive, education, healthcare and manufacturing.
Monsha’at said companies supported by its Innovation Center have generated more than SAR 300 million in financial returns, while 263 prototypes have been developed through the center. More than 8,062 entrepreneurs have also benefited from its specialized programs and services.
The authority provides support through prototyping labs, innovation centers, business accelerators, technical and commercial consulting, and financing and investment programs.
