Dubai, UAE – Sharikat Mubasher: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF), a UAE Ministry of Finance initiative supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, partnered with the Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) to expand opportunities for high-growth startups across the UAE.
Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU), the partnership will establish a two-way referral mechanism connecting eligible MBRIF-backed companies with DFDF’s network of fund managers and investors, as per a recent press release. In parallel, eligible DFDF portfolio companies will be referred to MBRIF to access relevant programs, support instruments, and federal support channels.
The partnership aims to improve startups’ access to capital, expertise, networks, and growth opportunities while strengthening coordination between federal and Dubai-level ecosystem institutions.
Commenting on this, Fatima Yousif Alnaqbi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry’s representative at MBRIF, said the partnership would help create a more integrated national innovation ecosystem and support businesses in scaling and contributing to the UAE’s long-term economic priorities.
Meanwhile, Nader Albastaki, Managing Director of DFDF, said the agreement would provide founders with a more direct route between federal and Dubai-level support and connect them with resources needed for their next stage of growth.
