Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: An overwhelming majority of surveyed Saudi small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) find all-in-one payment and business solutions appealing, but adoption remains limited, according to Visa’s ‘Pay and Get Paid 2026’ report.
The study found that 95% of surveyed SMEs in Saudi Arabia are interested in integrated solutions that combine payments with broader business management, while only 45% currently use such platforms.
The report highlighted several administrative challenges facing SMEs, including tracking outstanding invoices, cited by 30% of respondents, organizing payroll records at 26%, and preparing financial reports at 23%.
Among SMEs not using integrated business tools, 14% prefer separate solutions for different needs, while another 14% said their businesses are too small to require an integrated platform. The same share cited data security or privacy concerns.
Meanwhile, SMEs already using integrated solutions reported a 98% satisfaction rate, with 87% saying the tools improved efficiency by reducing the time and effort required to manage their businesses.
Visa said integrated payment and business platforms could also help financial institutions gain a more comprehensive view of SME cash flows and potentially develop more tailored financing solutions over time.
The study surveyed 262 SMEs in Saudi Arabia as part of research covering 11 markets, based on interviews conducted between March and April 2026.
