Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: UAE-based fintech Huru has partnered with global card processing company Paymentology to introduce its payment card on Jaywan, the country’s domestic card scheme, as it expands its digital financial services.
Under the partnership, Paymentology will continue providing the processing technology for Huru’s card program, supporting the fintech’s efforts to expand its digital financial services across the UAE, according to a recent press release.
Huru currently processes AED 3 billion in annualized salary flows through its accounts and serves more than 24,000 employers. The company also works with nine exchange houses and aims to reach approximately one million accounts over the coming year.
Its Universal Account provides customers with an individual IBAN-based account that remains theirs when they change employers, allowing them to receive salaries and manage payments through a single platform.
The Huru app also enables users to send international transfers, top up mobile phones and save towards financial goals.
Commenting on this, Nauman Hassan, Regional Director MENA at Paymentology, said supporting Huru’s move to Jaywan would help expand locally tailored payment services in the UAE.
Meanwhile, Abhimanyu Girotra, CEO of Huru, said the partnership would further develop its Universal Account and align its payment services with the UAE’s domestic financial infrastructure.
