
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) launched a new e-commerce payments interface designed to expand payment options and streamline integration between local and global payment networks.
As per SAMA’s announcement on its official LinkedIn account, the system allows e-commerce platforms to utilize the national Mada network while connecting with international gateways through unified technical specifications. It also introduces centralized registration services, enabling banks and financial institutions to provide tailored financing solutions to online businesses.
SAMA said the interface enhances payment security through technologies like payment card tokenization and supports the growing e-commerce sector by improving the efficiency of the national payment infrastructure.
This move aligns with the Kingdom’s fintech strategy and Vision 2030 goals, aiming to strengthen the digital economy and position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in payments innovation.
