Doha – Sharikat Mubasher: Qatar-based venture capital fund Rasmal Ventures announced its investment in NEXX, an AI-driven logistics technology company with dual headquarters in Hong Kong and Qatar, during the 10th Belt & Road Summit in Hong Kong.
As per a recent press release, the signing ceremony was attended by Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje, Rasmal Partner, Hui Ka Oscar, NEXX CEO, and dignitaries, including Sheikha Noora Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatar’s Consul General to Hong Kong.
The deal marks Rasmal’s first commitment to a Hong Kong tech startup and underscores its mission to channel global innovation into Qatar while fostering cross-regional collaboration between Asia and the Middle East. Backed by the Qatar Investment Authority’s $1 billion Fund of Funds, Rasmal has rapidly positioned itself as a key player in Qatar’s innovation economy since its launch in 2023.
On this occasion, Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje commented: " We believe the cross-regional connection between China’s leading tech entrepreneurs and the GCC can unlock tremendous growth and value on both sides, and we are positioned to enable the building of this bridge. NEXX stood out as an impressive example that embodies this vision."
Meanwhile, Hui Ka Oscar added: "These developments demonstrate our commitment to building a world-class organization that can effectively bridge Chinese technological innovation with Middle Eastern market opportunities."
