Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-based AI startup TabSense successfully secured $5 million in its first funding round, led by Jasoor Ventures, to launch an AI Agentic Point-of-sale (PoS) system for multi-branch and franchise restaurants and cafés.
In a statement today, the startup revealed that it will use the investment to accelerate product innovation, expand regional sales, and grow its engineering and AI teams to advance AI capabilities.
The AI Agentic PoS system, powered by intelligent AI agents, will enable restaurants and cafés to gain intelligent digital teammates that transform in-store data into insights and actions, optimizing performance, improving visibility, and scaling operations efficiently without losing control or quality.
Commenting on this milestone, Mohammed Jaber, Co-founder of TabSense, stated: “Our AI agents handle the complex, time-consuming aspects of management - from menu optimization and product recommendations to understanding customer behavior - allowing owners to focus on growth and quality.”
Founded in 2024 by Mohammed Jaber, Mohammad Khleifat, Shadi Daboor, and Mohamad Ababatain, TabSense currently serves over 1,000 multi-branch and franchise restaurants across Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and plans to expand in regional and global markets soon.
